Things to Do
Lincoln Park is a world-class destination for people of all ages. It’s an excellent place for a picnic, scenic views, an outdoor concert, or to relax and watch the sunset. It is also home to one of the world’s best-loved cultural institutions, the Lincoln Park Conservatory. The conservatory is a historical conservation, ecological restoration, and park program with more than 1,200 acres of space. Residents can roam the park, take a tour, and participate in events.
The Lincoln Park Zoo is a free zoo with hundreds of animals and beautiful gardens where locals can explore and enjoy educational programs and events. North Avenue Beach is a popular spot for swimming and offers access to the Lake Michigan Water Trail for kayaking and canoeing. The Chicago History Museum captures the history of Chicago through exhibits, collections, publications, and educational initiatives. Locals can tour the museum, engage in online content, and attend community events and programs.
Chicago Public Schools has more than 600 schools that serve more than 330,000 students across the greater Chicago area, including Lincoln Park. The community also has several private school options for kindergarten through 12th-grade students.
